Christian Beutel, born in Munich in 1995, began his musical career in the Tölzer Knabenchor. He continued on this path after his voice broke and joined the men's choir of the Tölzer Knabenchor. After graduating from high school, he first completed a degree in bioinformatics at the Technical University of Munich. He then studied singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich with Prof. Lars Woldt and graduated with top marks. Due to his great passion for early music, he continued his education at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague with, among others, Peter Kooij and Robin Blaze and completed his master's degree in 2024. In 2022 he successfully participated in NKK NXT, the traineeship program of the Nederlands Kamerkoor. Since 2023 he is a freelance member of the WDR Rundfunkchor
As a lied singer he has already been able to convince at numerous recitals and can look back on a successful collaboration with singers and pianists such as Ian Bostridge and Donald Sulzen within the framework of several courses.
The singer's special attention has always been devoted to opera. Here he made his debut in many roles in the common repertoire during his studies. Including as Don Pasquale ("Don Pasquale"), Sarastro ("Die Zauberflöte"), Wotan ("Das Rheingold") and as Noye in Benjamin Britten's opera "Noye's Fludde", which he performed together with the Jewish Chamber Music Orchestra under the direction of Daniel Grossmann.
In concert, Christian Beutel can be heard regularly as a soloist. Besides J.S. Bach's oratorios and passions, works such as F. Mendelssohn's "Paulus", J. Haydn's "Die Schöpfung" and G. Rossini's "Petite messe solenelle" are also part of his standard repertoire.

In the popular Neue Liebeslieder-Walzer for four voices and piano four hands, Johannes Brahms sings of romantic love in folk melodies and dancing rhythms. The Flemish composer Arthur Wilford (1851-1926) was also charmed by Brahms' choral songs. His Liebeslieder im Mai and Herbstwinde may be completely unknown to the general public, but in terms of charm, atmosphere and content, they perfectly match Brahms.
